School Aims

Cambo First School is a good  school. At Cambo First School we strive to provide our children with an excellent education through creative, broad and balanced learning opportunities. We want all of our pupils to perform to their maximum potential, progressing academically, physically and socially in an atmosphere where they can grow and acquire appropriate knowledge, skills, values and attitudes. We positively believe that a strong global relationship with others across the world is necessary to help our children grow and become effective citizens. We are currently developing effective, real life links with schools and children in Newcastle via the Linking Program. This is to be extended via links with schools in Germany and India.  We provide a caring environment in which every child feels valued and respected. We listen to children and offer them our honest opinions

We believe that we can best achieve our aims by working in close partnership with families. We feel that the school is at the heart of the local community and we strive to maintain and develop as many links as possible with people around us.

The Governors and staff are committed to working together to raise standards of achievement in all curriculum areas and to provide a safe, secure, happy and worthwhile education for all.

At the present time the challenge for us is to continue to improve levels of attainment and quality of provision for every child and to provide a school, which works in partnership with, and is accountable to the community it serves.
